Nanded-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express: Fare, timings, route and stations


Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis flagged off the Hazur Sahib Nanded-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Mumbai Vande Bharat Express train on Tuesday, August 26, via video conference. Describing it as a gateway to prosperity for the region, he stated that the state administration was prioritising modern connectivity to overcome Marathwada’s backwardness.

Fadnavis flagged off the train from the state secretariat in Mumbai, while a formal ceremony took place at Nanded railway station. “With Vande Bharat, Nanded has come closer to the state capital Mumbai, opening doors of prosperity for the region,” he said.

This is the first Vande Bharat train to connect Marathwada’s Nanded with the state capital, Mumbai, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). The Vande Bharat Express

benefits everyday commuters, devotees, officials, and traders, as well as making it easier to visit significant tourist and religious sites.

It is an extension of the 20706/20705 CSMT-Jalna-CSMT Vande Bharat Express train. It is a completely air-conditioned day trip with speed, safety, and comfort that connects key tourist and religious attractions.

Distance and Travel Time

The train will cover a distance of 610 kilometres in about 9 hours and 30 minutes. Earlier, the fastest train between Mumbai and Nanded was the Devgiri Express, which took 11:20 hours. This latest

Vande Bharat train will shorten the journey duration by about two hours.

Schedule and Timings

The service runs six days a week, except on Wednesdays from Nanded and Thursdays from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). Train number 20705 departs Hazur Sahib Nanded at 05:00 hrs six days a week and arrives at CSMT at 14:25 hrs the same day. Meanwhile, train number 20706 will depart CSMT at 13:10 hrs six days a week and arrive in Hazur Sahib Nanded at 22:50 hrs the same day.

Stoppages

This Vande Bharat train will make eight stops on its journey from Hazur Sahib Nanded to Mumbai. These include Parbhani, Jalna, Aurangabad, Manmad, Nashik Road, Kalyan, Thane, and Dadar.

Coach Composition and Ticket Price

The train will consist of 20 coaches with a total capacity of 1,440 seats. It will have two types of seating arrangements: Executive Chair Car and AC Chair Car. The AC Chair Car ticket fare between Hazur Sahib Nanded and Mumbai is 1,610. This comes up to 2,930 for an Executive Chair Car.
