Mumbai Indians all-rounder Will Jacks is playing for Oval Invincibles in the ongoing 2025 edition of The Hundred. The English cricketer was in action on Monday (August 25) against London Spirit at The Oval, and in the match which Sam Curran’s side won by six wickets, Jacks impressed with his batting and fielding.
In the first half of the match, he completed an unbelievable flying catch of London Spirit batter Ollie Pope. The incident took place on the 34th ball of the match bowled by Sam Curran.
Pope, who bats at No. 3, tried to play a shot down the ground, but he failed to beat Jacks, who jumped to the right to complete a superb flying catch with his one hand just outside the 30-yard circle.
The clip of Jacks’ unreal effort on the field was shared by The Hundred’s official X handle, and within seconds the video went viral on the internet.

After making headlines for his batting, Jacks opened the innings for Invincibles in the 153-run chase and hammered 45 runs from just 27 balls. During his stay at the crease, Jacks smashed four fours and three sixes.
He added 64 runs in 35 balls for the second wicket with Jordan Cox. Cox top-scored for the hosts in the match by smashing 47 runs from 27 balls.
For his super show with the bat in the match No. 29 of The Hundred men’s competition, Jacks won the Player of the Match award.
The win by six wickets on Monday helped the two-time champions consolidate their No. 1 position in the points table. The Surrey-based team has 24 points after eight matches.
Jacks’ performance for MI
Mumbai Indians signed Jacks for Rs 5.25 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction, and the 26-year-old right-handed top-order batter played 13 matches for the Hardik Pandya-led side. In those 13 matches, Jacks scored 233 runs with the help of one half-century (53), and his strike rate was 135.46. In addition to scoring 233 runs, Jacks picked up six wickets and played a big role in MI’s fourth-place finish in the league table.
