Spanning 112 kilometres, the phase involves the development of six new corridors, with construction currently underway on three priority lines. The estimated cost for the project is approximately ₹ 24,948.65 crores.
The three priority corridors are likely to be operational by March 2026, while the remaining corridors are expected to be completed by 2028.
The project is expected to add 44 new stations, enhancing connectivity across South, Central and East Delhi.
Construction status:
The construction of the three Metro Phase IV corridors, Janakpuri West – RK Ashram, Maujpur- Mukundpur and Aerocity – Tughlaqabad, is now underway. DMRC is creating around 28 km of new underground corridors as part of the phase 4 expansion project, which also includes the development of 65 km of additional lines across three separate corridors.
The three key corridors are:
– Janakpuri West-Ramakrishna Ashram Marg (28.92 km, 22 stations)
Stations: Krishna Park Extn, Keshopur, Meerabagh, Paschim Vihar, Mangol Puri, West Enclave, Pushpanjali, Deepali Chowk, Madhuban Chowk, Prashant Vihar, North Pitampura, Badli Mor, Bhalaswa, Azadpur, Ashok Vihar, Derawal Nagar, Ghanta Ghar, Pulbangash, Sadar Bazar, Nabi Karim, and Ramakrishna Ashram Marg.
In September 2024, the 2.5-kilometre segment from Janakpuri West to Krishna Park Extension on the Janakpuri West-RK Ashram Marg line was opened.
– Maujpur- Mukundpur (12.558 km, 8 stations)
Stations: Yamuna Vihar, Bhajanpura, Khajuri Khas, Sonia Vihar, Soorghat, Jagatpur Village, Jharoda Majra, and Burari.
– Delhi Aerocity-Tughlakabad (23.622 km, 15 stations)
Stations: Mahipal Pur, Vasant Kunj, Kishangarh, Chhatarpur, Chhatarpur Mandir, IGNOU, Neb Sarai, Saket G Block, Ambedkar Nagar, Khanpur, Sangam Vihar-Tigri, Anand Mayee Marg Junction, Tughlakabad Railway Colony, and Tughlakabad.
