ChatGPT Go is officially here and OpenAI is bringing its new premium GPT plan for users in India priced at Rs 399 per month. The new ChatGPT Go version has been in the news and was expected to be unveiled in the last few weeks, and now the company has confirmed the new ChatGPT premium plan that is starting with India as its main focus.
This is the cheapest ChatGPT plan from the company and comes a few days after Sam Altman, CEO, OpenAI claimed that India is one of the biggest markets for its future and growth of the AI business.
OpenAI shared the update on Tuesday, with Nick Turley, VP and Head of ChatGPT confirming the big launch via a post on X.
We just launched ChatGPT Go in India, a new subscription tier that gives users in India more access to our most popular features: 10x higher message limits, 10x more image generations, 10x more file uploads, and 2x longer memory compared with our free tier. ChatGPT Go not only gives you a wide range of premium features but also gives you extended use of the latest GPT 5 version along with the ability to upload files, and many more tools that are not available for the ChatGPT free users. The other Indianised aspect of ChatGPT Go is that you can pay for the subscription via UPI apps that will be billed monthly.

You can start using ChatGPT Go by signing up for the new plan that is gradually being made available to all users. Here are the steps to follow:
- Open ChatGPT website or mobile app
- Log into ChatGPT with your email ID or account
- Click on the profile icon
- Click on Upgrade plan
- Select Try Go
