Redmi 15 India launch is this week and here’s a quick look at the new device
Xiaomi is launching Redmi 15 in India this week and the popular lineup needs the new product to do better than its previous versions. The brand is going for a course correction and not to flood the market with similar devices, something its rivals are doing in a big way. The new Redmi 15 model promises some exciting features, including the use of silicon carbon battery tech to pack a bigger unit inside the device.
The brand is also using a Snapdragon chipset for the new Redmi phone and giving it sleek dimensions even for a device carrying a higher capacity of battery. Redmi 15 will also get features that are claimed to be segment-first and a dual rear camera setup.
Redmi 15 India Launch This Week: Price And Features Expected
Xiaomi is calling the Redmi 15 a battery beast, and the 7,000mAh battery unit packed inside the device looks to vouch for those claims. The brand is also using a Snapdragon chipset, rumoured to be the 6 Gen 3 version for the new Redmi model and offer a dual rear 50MP camera setup with an AI/depth secondary sensor.
The silicon carbon battery tech has made it possible to increase the density of the battery without bulking it up.
The brand is also touting the phone’s battery to support 18W charging speed that gets reverse charging mode as well. Redmi 15 is likely to sport a 6.9-inch LCD screen for the range but offered with 144Hz refresh rate which should be manually adjustable and not adaptive.
The company needs the new phone to do better in the market compared to the recent Redmi Note launches, as its share in the segment continues to slide. Redmi 15 will be looking to bring the glory days back.
Redmi 15 price in India is tipped to start around Rs 15,000 with these features and the budget phone will be looking to entice buyers with some of its segment-first hardware specifications and features when it launches this week.
