According to an official statement, Minister Pul met Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to propose several initiatives, including the establishment of a regional cultural centre under the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) at Jote, near the state capital.
“We are committed to preserving and promoting our rich cultural legacy. The proposed centre at Jote will serve as a vibrant hub for indigenous art, music, and traditions,” the statement quoted Pul as saying.

She highlighted the importance of upgrading multi-purpose cultural complexes (MPCCs) across Arunachal Pradesh to enhance their role as community spaces. “Upgraded cultural complexes will provide inclusive spaces for youth and artisans to engage, perform, and grow,” she noted.
Union Minister Shekhawat responded positively to the proposals and shared the Centre’s full support, commending Arunachal Pradesh for its proactive efforts to safeguard its cultural identity, PTI reported.
Later the same day, Pul held a meeting with Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi to assess the status of centrally sponsored schemes in Arunachal Pradesh. The discussions centred around the challenges faced in implementing these initiatives, including infrastructure gaps, service delivery issues, and the need for stronger inter-agency coordination.
“The union minister was very receptive and appreciated Arunachal’s progressive approach in empowering women and protecting child rights,” Pul said.

She added that Devi reaffirmed her commitment to enhancing Centre-state cooperation to ensure more effective and streamlined implementation of welfare schemes.
Calling for a collaborative effort to drive social equity, Pul stated, “Together with the Centre, we remain focused on building a stronger and more inclusive future for our women and children.”
During her visit to Delhi, Pul also stopped by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) central library at the party’s headquarters. There, she met Prof Dr Aseervatham Zachary, the national coordinator for the BJP’s intellectual cell.
Describing the meeting as insightful, Pul acknowledged his role in enriching the party’s intellectual framework.
