Samsung One UI 8 update coming to flagship phone next month
Samsung One UI 8 beta program has gotten a move on in the last few weeks and the company now even has a clearer timeline for when the full update will be rolling out for one of its latest devices. Samsung has definitely been much faster with the One UI 8 beta, after its delays with the One UI 7 earlier this year.
The company has managed to launch the latest Fold and Flip models with the Android 16 version and soon it will be coming to its premium lineup that came out earlier this year.
Samsung One UI 8 Official Release Confirmed
The company has confirmed that the 2025 Galaxy S25 series, which has four models, will be getting the One UI 8 official roll out in September. The brand has not given the exact date but we should expect the new Android 16 update to be available in the next few weeks.
Samsung introduced the One UI 7 version with the Galaxy S25 lineup in January and it will be one of the first to get the Android 16 update as well. “ The update will begin with the Galaxy S25 series and will be rolled out sequentially to other eligible devices,” the company has said.
In addition to this, Samsung has also shared the roadmap for other devices to get the One UI 8 beta program next month. The brand has said devices like the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, A36 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G and A54 will be eligible for the One UI 8 beta version. Users with any of these devices can register for the beta program via the Samsung Members app.
One UI 8 delivers smarter, more convenient AI experiences through multimodal capabilities that understands users’ real-time context and supports more natural interactions.
The update cycle for the Galaxy Watch has also been revealed. One UI 8 Watch will expand to more Galaxy Watch models beyond the Galaxy Watch 8 series later this year, the company has confirmed.
Google will also launch the Pixel 10 series later this month and for the first time it won’t be the first device to get the latest Android version out of the box.
