Reliance Consumer becomes exclusive beverages partner for Hyderabad Metro

Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Ltd, has been announced as the exclusive beverage partner for Hyderabad Metro. Through this strategic partnership with L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd, RCPL has secured exclusive rights for selling its beverage range across the metro network, including kiosks, vending machines and retail outlets.

The move strengthens RCPL’s presence in the urban consumer market in Southern India, particularly in high-footfall public transport hubs. The company, which revived the iconic Campa Cola brand in 2023 after acquiring it in 2022, has since expanded its beverages portfolio and is steadily establishing itself as a top contender in the Indian soft drinks sector.

Commenting on the partnership, Executive Director of Reliance Consumer Products Limited Ketan Mody said, “We are thrilled to partner with Hyderabad Metro as it gives us the opportunity to serve consumers closely and add excitement to the daily commute of metro users. We believe in delivering global quality products at affordable prices to customers and I am sure that our portfolio of drinks will help refresh and energise commuters and improve their daily rides.”

L&TMRHL, which operates the Hyderabad Metro, welcomed the collaboration as part of its broader effort to enhance commuter experience across the city’s expanding metro network.

“At Hyderabad Metro Rail, we are continuously redefining the role of metro systems in shaping modern urban lifestyles. We are happy to partner with Reliance Consumer Products (RCPL), which reflects our commitment to enhancing commuter convenience by integrating reliable, high-quality offerings into metro spaces. It reflects our broader vision of building modern, commuter-centric infrastructure through purposeful collaborations,” said Mr KVB Reddy, Managing Director and CEO of L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited.

The Hyderabad Metro, one of India’s longest rapid transit systems, spans 69.2 kilometres across 57 stations. As of May 2025, the network recorded an average daily ridership of approximately 4.6 lakh passengers. In 2024, it reached its peak single-day ridership of 5.63 lakh commuters, underlining its growing role in the city’s daily transport ecosystem.

The partnership with RCPL is expected to bring a refreshed commuter experience while supporting Hyderabad Metro’s continued growth as a modern, integrated, and commuter-friendly transit system.
