Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Rohit Purohit and his wife, Sheena Bajaj, are all set to welcome their first child in 2025. The couple recently announced the pregnancy with a sweet post, asking for blessings as they step into this exciting new chapter.
On May 15, Rohit shared a touching moment on his Instagram Stories, a screenshot from a video call showing Sheena peacefully asleep. Expressing his love for her, he added the romantic track Koi Itna Khoobsurat Kaise Ho Sakta Hai and wrote in the caption, “Please mujhe koi batao… (referring to the song) 12 saal se main ye hi soch raha hoon. Marogi toh nahi naa..?”

In an interview with ETimes, Sheena spoke about her pregnancy journey. “I conceived at the end of January, just a few days after our sixth wedding anniversary. Rohit has always loved kids and has wanted to have a child for the longest time. When we decided to start our family, we didn’t expect it to take as long as it did.”
Rohit, who is currently playing the male lead in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, added, “I was in shock at first. Once the news sank in, I had tears of joy in my eyes. I couldn’t react properly and had to leave for a shoot. We waited for the doctor’s confirmation and the sonography. I’ve always wanted to become a father since we got married, and now it’s finally happening.”
He further revealed, “I’m hoping for a daughter, one with a nature that’s a perfect blend of Sheena’s and mine. I’m excited to take care of her. While I feel mentally prepared to be a father, nothing can truly prepare you until the baby arrives. I guess time will teach me everything I need to know.”
On the work front, Rohit Purohit has been winning hearts as Armaan Poddar in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, where he stars opposite Samridhii Shukla. Over the years, he has showcased his versatility in several popular shows, including Razia Sultan, Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji, Udaariyaan and Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii.
