He added, “With over 19 million passengers flown, an engaged workforce of over 4,700 Akasians, and a consistent record of operational excellence, Akasa is poised to become a generational institution in global aviation and remains firmly anchored to its long-term vision of being among the top 30 airlines globally by the end of this decade.”
Akasa now operates 30 aircraft connecting 28 destinations, including 23 domestic and five international. It signed a codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways in March 2025.
The airline has logged over 100,000 total departures, including over 3,800 international flights, while maintaining the lowest cancellation rate in Indian aviation.
Akasa Air also plans to deepen its presence in key Indian hubs such as Delhi and expand globally into SAARC and ASEAN regions. The airline expects its fleet to grow to over 30 aircraft by the end of 2025. Currently it operates 30 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and has placed an order for 226 more.
