iPhone users can now record calls natively thanks to the iOS 18.1 update but this app will lose the support from next month.

iPhone users can download their record files till next month.
iPhone users will lose support for call recording via a popular app that helps them do that and more. Truecaller is ending the feature for iPhone users from next month, and has decided to focus on more important tools that iPhone users have demanded over the years.
The call recording feature was introduced two years back for iPhone users, allowing them to record calls, something that Apple does not make it easy for third-party developers with privacy at the top of its focus. Instead of call recording, the company has decided to invest its resources in two other important parts of the calling setup.
iPhone Call Recording Support Ends: Here’s Why
Apple focuses on app privacy for its users which is why call recording is not the most favourite tool over at Cupertino. Truecaller did some heavy engineering to make call recording work on iPhones, but now it wants to focus on making other important features work for these users.
The platform wants to make live caller ID and auto spam blocking work as effectively as it does on Android. Keeping the privacy aspect in mind, Apple has made its own recording arrangements that have been available since the iOS 18.1 version came out last year. Truecaller feels that its premium users on iPhone need better all-round service and it will now start to make it a reality for the millions using its premium version on the devices.
Truecaller Call Recording Stops: How To Download Your Files
Truecaller has given time till September 30 before iPhone users can retrieve/download or export their saved call recordings. The platform says you can also share them via email or WhatsApp the files, or migrate them to iCloud storage for future use.
Spam calls/messages are a nightmare and apps like Truecaller have shown their value, especially as the industry goes from strength to strength with no oversight in place.
Airtel is another company that has come out with its own spam blocker for calls and messages for its users. But the need for a unified spam blocker mechanism is apparent and soon we might see more Truecaller-like services available without paying a heavy charge.
