Jio Frames gets a camera, AI voice assistant and more.
Jio Frames is the latest addition to the tech catalogue at Jio, announced at the RIL AGM 2025 on Friday. The market for smart glasses has exploded in the last 12 months with Meta Ray Ban glasses showing the way and now the Jio Frames gives people more options.
The new AI-powered Jio smart glasses are made in India and they come with support for local languages so that you can work and use them hands-free.
Jio Frames AI Glasses: What Features You Get
Jio Frames supports Jio’s multi-lingual AI voice assistant which delivers a hands-free experience for varied tasks and actions. The smart glasses come equipped with a camera on the stem that lets you take HD-quality photos, or record live videos. All the content is stored on the Jio AI Cloud which is the storage app from the company.
The multi-lingual support allows you to use the smart glasses in Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telegu and Bengali among others, with more to be added in the near future. This is useful because it opens up the gates for real-time language translation which can be a challenge in different parts of the country.
But the AI-centric glasses are not just limited to capturing shots. You can assign tasks to the assistant, like asking a summary for some important work notes that you are going through, or ask the glasses to guide you through the steps for a cooking recipe.
Jio Frames even has open-ear speakers which lets you make calls, or even listen to music while you are on the road. Jio Frames will be available soon and you can register interest for the product on Jio’s official website to get more details about its price and launch date.
