The Argentine government has eased entry requirements for Indian citizens, allowing those holding a valid US visa to travel to Argentina without applying separately for an Argentine visa.
The new regulation, published in the Official Gazette, exempts Indian travellers with ordinary passports and a valid entry permit to the United States from presenting either an Argentine visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (AVE).
Each entry will be verified by the National Immigration Directorate in coordination with relevant authorities.
Officials said the move is aimed at encouraging tourism and strengthening cultural and economic ties between India and Argentina. Indian travellers will now benefit from a simplified entry process, making it easier to visit the South American nation for leisure and holidays.
Argentine Ambassador to India, Mariano Caucino, welcomed the decision, saying, “Promoting tourism to our country is a top priority of our government and for this reason we seek to facilitate the mechanisms so that more and more Indians visit Argentina.”
