Lollapalooza India fans might have just got an early surprise as a push notification from Bank of Baroda mentioned Linkin Park and it has since sparked speculation about the festival’s 2026 lineup. While the official announcement is still awaited, this unexpected reveal has left music lovers thrilled.
The notification reached users during RuPay pre-sales and mentioned the legendary band by name. It even mentioned a line, “I tried so hard and got so far,” from their hit In The End which suggested that Linkin Park could be performing live in Mumbai next year. An X (formerly Twitter) user shared a screenshot of the alert online that has caught everyone’s attention.
The caption shared along with the post read, “Linkin Park confirmed for Lollapalooza 2026.”
Bank Of Baroda Notification Sparks Speculation
Social media has been abuzz with discussions about whether the reveal was genuine or just a stunt to draw attention to the festival.
One user commented, “I’ve been manifesting this for the past 24 years. It’s about time.”
Another said, “Seems like a marketing stunt to increase the traffic on site and sale of ticket.”
“I swear, if they did this to make us buy the tickets before the line up, I am suing them,” someone else wrote.
Subtle Hints From Lollapalooza India
Even before the notification, festival organisers appeared to drop hints. On Instagram, a RuPay presale post included the caption: “From zero to hundred. Experience the next level of live music at Lolla India 2026.” Fans noticed that From Zero is the title of Linkin Park’s 2024 album.
Another post read: “Come be a part of something… at Lolla India 2026!” Many fans connected the phrase “part of something” to lyrics from the band’s track The Emptiness Machine.
