Ganesh Chaturthi 2025 Celebrations In Mumbai: As Ganesh Chaturthi is nearing, the city of Mumbai echoes with the slogans “Ganpati Bappa Morya” and “Tujhko firse Jalwa dikhana hi hoga – agle baras aana hai, aana hi hoga.” These high-pitched phrases represent the city’s unbreakable connection with Lord Ganesha. What makes the festival unique is its inclusivity. The celebration extends beyond the Marathi community, drawing people from every religion and background. Mumbai’s neighborhoods transform into hubs of activity with elaborately designed pandals, cultural performances, devotional singing and collective prayers.
Lalbaugcha Raja
One of the most frequently visited is Lalbaugcha Raja, or the “King of Lalbaug”. Worshippers queue for hours, believing the idol to be granting wishes. The design is modified annually, though, but the size and ornate decorations often reflect historical or societal issues.

Andhericha Raja
Another attraction is Andhericha Raja, one of the longest-standing pandals of Mumbai. Although the idol is smaller in size than others, the 10-day event focuses on customs and rituals, and hence is rich in spirit.
