TikTok India comeback: TikTok launch in India news gathered steam after many people were able to access the main website in the country.

TikTok India launch rumours started after the website was working
TikTok India comeback: TikTok ban in India has been going since 2020 but new developments recently have suggested that the company is ready to relaunch its short video app in the country. Many people were able to access the TikTok website after a long time, and we found the same work on our network as well.
This brought understandable excitement and intrigue around TikTok and its possible relaunch in the country. But the company and the Indian government have reportedly quashed those thoughts and clarified their respective stance on the ongoing TikTok exile and what you can expect in the months to come.
TikTok India Relaunch? Not Yet
TikTok India launch is widely expected and there is still interest around its availability but the company has denied such plans. “We have not restored access to TikTok in India and continue to comply with the Government of India’s directive,” the company spokesperson was quoted in a TechCrunch report.
All the excitement around the TikTok India comeback started when people noticed the official website opening on their devices without using any VPN app or tool. However, the TikTok app on Play Store or App Store was still not available, which did cool down those rumours to some extent.
The reappearance of TikTok website in India has been attributed to network-level misconfiguration, something that has happened before in 2022 when operators inadvertently unblocked the platform on their network.
Government Denies News
And if that wasn’t enough, the Indian government has been quoted in multiple reports, confirming that no such order has been passed to allow TikTok to run in the country. “The Government of India has not issued any unblocking order for TikTok. Any such statement or news is false and misleading,” a government source quoted in a PTI report said..
In addition to TikTok, many users noticed that another China-based app AliExpress was opening on their network, which is again, part of the banned app list in the country. The Ministry of Electronics and IT said the apps were “engaged in activities prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order.” These platforms were blocked amidst tensions between India and China in June 2020.
