Mrunal Thakur was styled by Radhika Mehra in Son Of Sardaar 2.
Mrunal Thakur has a penchant for experimenting with sartorial fashion choices as she is frequently seen switching between cultural clothing and comfortable casuals. While in real life, Mrunal is a style inspiration, the actress has been acing the fashion charts on screen as well. Mrunal was most recently seen in Son Of Sardaar 2, and her wardrobe as Rabia in the film provides some of the best fashion inspiration.
Mrunal Thakur’s stylist for the film, Radhika Mehra, shared a breakdown of Rabia’s looks and the vision behind styling the character. In one of the videos, Mrunal is seen speaking about the character’s style herself. She mentions that Rabia’s wardrobe involved a lot of colours, patterns and layers. She likes customised pieces and a blend of metal jewellery.
The stylist added, “You’ll see her personality and her beautiful chaos in every outfit: mixed metals, personalised motifs, unconventional layers, and hand stacks (of my dreams)! She carries a piece of home wherever she goes ~ you’ll notice. Colours, layers, and patterns were chosen with intention, to look mismatched and chaotic, yet somehow perfectly pieced together, bringing charm, calm and soul.”
Interestingly, the stylist also gave a detailed look at some of Rabia’s best outfits. First up was a blue one. The character was seen in a customised top & flared skirt designed by Shakti Tripathi. What added to the charm was the custom chand sitara necklace, boots and sunglasses. Next up was a black kurta set by Ridhiiee Suuri with a jacket by The Kooples and oversized silver chaandbaalis.
Moving on for another look, the actress was seen in a tie-dye shirt from Mango and an embroidered waistcoat. For accessories, the stylist chose thrift store earrings, bangles and more. The carousel also featured a stunning white lehenga look, which was from the shelves of Falguni Shane Peacock.
Rabia’s wardrobe is a map of her ever-changing journey, featuring designer pieces as well as local bazaar gems.
