The Simpsons, an American animated sitcom, has become popular for its ability to predict real-life events. It is once again back in the headlines for yet another of its predictions, where a clip, which has gone viral on social media, predicted a US President’s death. A page on Instagram shared a video on the platform, featuring a Simpsons character that bears a striking resemblance to the incumbent US President, Donald Trump.
The video begins with a chilling prediction: “The President is expected to die in August 2025 after a severe chest illness.”
As it played further, a voice in the background mentioned that The Simpsons predicted the “Presidential Death” in a forgotten episode, which aired over 15 years ago. Calling it one of the show’s “most disturbing predictions”, the voiceover went on to describe how the incident unfolded.
“A controversial president with bright orange skin, golden hair and a volatile temper is shown walking alone through the White House,” the voice claims as was seen in the episode. All of a sudden, the president grabs his chest in pain and then collapses during a live national broadcast. Panic erupted through the corridors of the White House, and medical staff were called in, one of whom yelled, “This wasn’t just stress, this was a sign.”
The clip then links the predictions in the episode to the real world, pointing out that President Donald Trump was recently diagnosed with a heart ailment. They went on to claim that sources inside the government shared that the president might suffer a major heart attack in August this year. To add to it, the voiceover further mentioned that because of the episode’s “precision”, it was pulled from syndication and also disappeared from streaming platforms.
President Donald Trump Was Diagnosed With Chronic Venous Insufficiency
On July 17, the White House confirmed that President Donald Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition that occurs in older adults. This happens when veins in the legs struggle to move blood back to the heart. The White House announced the diagnosis while addressing swelling in the legs and bruising on the hands of the 79-year-old President of the US. Dr. Sean P. Barbabella, the physician to the president, said that the condition is benign and is common in people over 70. Other symptoms of CVI are varicose veins, pain, discomfort and, in rare cases, venous ulcers.
The president underwent a full-body health check-up, including blood tests and heart scans, and everything came back normal and revealed no cardiac, renal or systemic issues. The doctor shared that President Donald Trump “remains in excellent health,” as quoted by The New York Times.
Internet Reacts To The Simpsons Predicting President Donald Trump’s Death
After the video was posted, people had varying reactions to it. One user asked, “Didn’t they also predict his demise back in April? Like April 12th or something.” Another added, “Now this is how you make America great again.” A different user wrote, “Wow! So many of you wishing death on our President is proof that humanity is doomed. Zero respect or basic human decency anymore.”
Since it was posted, the clip has garnered over 2.5 million views.
