Samsung is bringing the One UI 8 beta update to more devices next month. The company has offered the Android 16 version for its 2024 flagship models and the Z Foldables this week, and soon this will be heading to mid-range and older Samsung flagship phones in September.

The cycle for the One UI 8 update quickly rolls on to the next Galaxy devices who can try out the new version before it is publicly rolled out for select devices in the near future. Google was upstaged by Samsung in July when the Android 16 update was officially introduced with the new Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE models.

One UI 8 Beta Expanding To More Devices Next Month

Now that Samsung has delivered the One UI beta version for its 2025 and 2024 flagships, the Android 16 version will be coming to these devices next:

  • Galaxy S23 series
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5
  • Galaxy Z Flip 5
  • Galaxy A36 5G
  • Galaxy A55 5G
  • Galaxy A35 5G
  • Galaxy A54

Finally, we are seeing devices beyond the S and Z series from Samsung. The One UI 8 beta moving to the mid-range Galaxy A-series phones is a promising sign, and we are eager to see how the new Android 16 version works on these phones.

Besides this, Samsung plans to bring the stable official One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S25 devices in September. The brand has not given the exact date but we should expect the new Android 16 update to be available in the next few weeks.

Samsung introduced the One UI 7 version with the Galaxy S25 lineup in January and it will be one of the first to get the Android 16 update as well. “ The update will begin with the Galaxy S25 series and will be rolled out sequentially to other eligible devices,” the company has said.

One UI 8 delivers smarter, more convenient AI experiences through multimodal capabilities that understands users’ real-time context and supports more natural interactions. Google has also launched the new Pixel 10 series with Android 16 out of the box and the promise of 7 OS upgrades along with 7 security updates from the company.
