The Ajit Agarkar-led senior men’s selection committee will meet at the BCCI Headquarters in Mumbai on Tuesday, August 19, to pick India’s squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025. The 2025 edition of the Asia Cup will be played from September 9 to 28 in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. A total of eight teams – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, the UAE, Hong Kong and Oman – will take part in the premier continental event, the matches of which will be played in T20I format this year.
According to a release shared by BCCI on Monday (August 18), following the selection committee meeting, Ajit Agarkar, who is the chairman of the senior men’s selection committee, will attend a press conference along with the India captain. The presser is scheduled to start at 1:30 PM IST.

As per the release shared by BCCI, the women’s selection committee will also meet at the BCCI Headquarters on Tuesday to pick India’s squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia at home and the 2025 edition of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup. The women’s selection meeting will be followed by a press conference, which will be attended by the captain and the chairperson of the Women’s Selection Committee.
This year’s Women’s ODI World Cup matches will be played between eight teams from September 30 to November 2 across four venues in India and one in Sri Lanka.
