Reports of Arjun Tendulkar’s engagement to Saaniya Chandhok have sparked comparisons with his legendary father, Sachin Tendulkar. Much like Sachin’s marriage to Anjali, who is five years older than him, Arjun too seems to be following a similar path in personal life. Saaniya, granddaughter of prominent Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai, is a little over a year older than the 25-year-old cricketer. Their match has drawn attention not only because of Arjun’s cricketing lineage but also due to the striking similarity with his father’s life choices, reminding many of Sachin and Anjali’s celebrated bond that has stood the test of time.

Reportedly, Arjun got engaged to Saaniya Chandhok on August 13, 2025. Arjun was born on September 24, 1999, and is currently 25 years old. Saaniya, on the other hand, was born on June 23, 1998, making her 26. (Image: Instagram)

That puts an age gap of just over a year between the two, with Saaniya being older. Interestingly, Arjun himself is two years younger than his elder sister, Sara Tendulkar.(Image: Instagram)

Saaniya belongs to Mumbai’s Ghai family, which holds a strong presence in the hospitality and food industries and owns the InterContinental hotel and the popular ice cream brand Brooklyn Creamery. (Image: Instagram)

Sachin Tendulkar’s son, Arjun, may not yet have made a big mark in the cricketing world, but when it comes to marriage, he seems to be following closely in his father’s footsteps.

Sachin and Anjali’s five-year gap: Former India batting great Sachin Tendulkar was born on April 24, 1973, and is now 52. His wife, Anjali, was born on November 10, 1967, which makes her five years older than him.

Sachin Tendulkar married Anjali Mehta, a paediatrician, on May 24, 1995.
