The airline confirmed that the suspension of several other routes will remain in effect until September 30. These include services from Amritsar to London (Gatwick), Goa (Mopa) to London (Gatwick), Bengaluru to Singapore, and Pune to Singapore.
The Tata Group-owned carrier had initiated what a “Safety Pause” to the June 12 crash, in which a London-bound Dreamliner lost thrust seconds after take-off from Ahmedabad and crashed into a medical college hostel. The incident resulted in the death of 260 people, including 241 of the 242 passengers and crew onboard, and 19 people on ground. It was the deadliest aviation disaster in over a decade.

During the suspension, Air India undertook inspections across its Boeing 787 fleet. The airline cited longer flight durations due to airspace restrictions over Pakistan and parts of the Middle East as factors contributing to the operational adjustments.
From August 1 to September 30, the airline will operate three weekly flights between Ahmedabad and London Heathrow, in place of the previously scheduled five weekly flights to London Gatwick.
Additionally, Air India will resume two weekly services it had curtailed on the Delhi-London (Heathrow) route from July 16, restoring the total number of weekly flights on that sector to 24. Services on the Delhi-Zurich route will also be increased from four to five times a week from August 1.

Two weekly flights on the Delhi–Tokyo (Haneda) route, which had been suspended, will be reinstated from August 1, bringing the total to seven weekly flights. Similarly, two reduced services on the Delhi–Seoul (Incheon) route will be restored from September 1, taking that route back to five flights per week.
