Hardik Pandya is all set to be part of India’s Asia Cup 2025 squad. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will announce India’s Asia Cup 2025 squad in the coming days. Hardik, who has played 114 T20Is so far since making his debut against Australia in January 2016, will be a key player for the Men in Blue in the tournament, which will be played from September 9 to 28 in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
During the premier continental event, Hardik will have a chance to create history. If the 31-year-old cricketer from Baroda manages to take at least six wickets, then he will become the first Indian and overall second cricketer in the world to score 1000 runs and take 100 wickets in T20Is.

Apart from Pandya, Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi will also have a chance to join the 1000 runs and 100 wickets club in T20Is. Nabi has played 132 T20Is for Afghanistan so far and has picked up 97 wickets in addition to scoring 2237 runs with the bat.

During the Asia Cup 2025, left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh, who is India’s highest wicket-taker in T20Is, will have a chance to become the first Indian bowler to dismiss 100 batters in the shortest format of the game at the highest level. As of now, he has 99 wickets to his name.
If Arshdeep manages to take at least one wicket in the next two T20Is, then he will become the fastest pacer to complete a century of wickets in T20Is.
