Khushnooma Kapadia, Vice President – Marketing, South Asia, Marriott International, said the focus has shifted from just food to highlighting the brand’s restaurants.
“The market is increasingly getting cluttered… so we decided that now we should move the focus from just food to our restaurants,” she explained.
The brand said it chose Kareena Kapoor Khan for her authenticity and strong connection with food lovers.

The campaign also integrates technology to enhance discoverability and bookings. “We wanted to make it more tech advanced… shorten the search journey… and create a seamless process of reservation,” Kapadia said.
Ajinkya Rahane expands startup investments
Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane, known for his composed batting style, is also building a portfolio in the startup space. His investments include Hudle, a sports tech platform encouraging active sports participation; Oatey, an oat milk brand he has backed since 2023 as an investor and brand ambassador; and Proxgy, an IoT company focusing on safety, connectivity, and productivity.

Rahane’s involvement reflects his interest in entrepreneurship beyond the cricket field, supporting ventures in sports, health, and technology.
