Hong Kong’s Sterling Group announces board changes



Hong Kong-based apparel company Sterling Group Holdings Limited has strengthened its board with the appointment of Xie Jianfeng as executive director and Cai Zhenhua as independent non-executive director, effective from September 2, 2026. The appointments aim to enhance the group’s governance structure and support its ongoing compliance with listing regulations.

Xie, aged 40, currently serves as vice president of administration at Sterling Group and holds directorships in several subsidiaries. He brings extensive executive experience from previous leadership roles in technology and insurance companies. Xie has entered into a one-year service agreement with an annual salary of HK$120,000 (~$15,303, as per conversion rate of $1 = HK$7.8418 as on September 3, 2026), determined by the board based on his responsibilities and prevailing market conditions, according to the company’s announcement.

Cai, also aged 40, has been appointed as chairperson of the remuneration and nomination committees and as a member of the audit committee. She has over a decade of senior management experience in project management and data-driven operations. Cai will receive a monthly director fee of HK$10,000 (~$1,275), with actual payment calculated on a pro-rata basis for her term, the company said in a press release.
