Janpath, Patel Chowk and Seva Teerth metro stations remain closed due to security reasons and will continue to remain shut until further instructions.
In a post on X, the DMRC said, “The interchange facilities and gates are now open at Rajiv Chowk and Central Secretariat metro stations.”

Earlier, five metro stations including Janpath, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat and Seva Teerth, were closed due to security reasons. While the metro operator did not disclose the nature of the security concern, it said the stations would remain closed until further instructions.
“Due to security reasons, Janpath, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat and Seva Teerth metro stations have been closed till further instructions,” DMRC had posted on X.

With the latest update, passengers can once again enter, exit and interchange at Rajiv Chowk and Central Secretariat, while services at the remaining three stations continue to be suspended.
Commuters have been advised to plan their travel accordingly and use alternative stations or modes of transport where necessary. Further updates on the reopening of the remaining stations are awaited.
On Sunday, the Delhi Metro had also reported a temporary disruption on the Yellow Line due to a ‘passenger on track’ at INA metro station. Train services were delayed for some time before normal operations resumed. The metro operator later confirmed that services on the Yellow Line had returned to normal.
