Part of BMTC’s expansion plan: BMTC officials said the service was introduced after the Karnataka government allowed the corporation to operate up to 40 km beyond the Greater Bengaluru Area boundary. Similar Vistara AC services now connect Bengaluru with towns such as Channapatna, Chikkaballapur, Ramanagara and Kanakapura.
