HSBC’s extensive global banking network and strong relationships with international buyers would help attract new sourcing partners that are not importing garments from Bangladesh now, thereby widening the country’s export base, BGMEA president Mahmud Hasan Khan was cited as saying at the signing ceremony by domestic media outlets.
HSBC Bangladesh chief executive officer Mohammad Mahbub-ur-Rahman reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to supporting the long-term growth of the country’s RMG sector.
He urged BGMEA to prioritise key areas, including market diversification, supply chain efficiency and raising Bangladesh’s share in the global apparel market.
