On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, textile and garment exports increased **.* per cent in June **** to $*.*** billion. Yarn exports in the month decreased *.* per cent in value to $***.*** million, but volumes soared **.* per cent to ***,*** tons.
On the import side, Vietnam’s cotton imports dropped *.* per cent in January- June **** YoY to $*,***.*** million, while volumes increased *.* per cent to ***,*** tonnes. Yarn imports totalled ***,*** tonnes, valued at $*,***.*** million, up by **.* per cent in value and *.* per cent in volume. Fabric imports, primarily from China, South Korea, and Taiwan, reached $*.*** billion, up *.* per cent YoY.
During June ****, the country imported ***,*** tonnes of cotton, valued at $***.*** million. Volume decreased *.* per cent and value eased *.* per cent on a MoM basis.
