Star Air to launch flights to Mundra from June 23, expands network to 32 destinations

Star Air, the aviation arm of the Sanjay Ghodawat Group, will begin scheduled commercial services to Mundra from June 23, adding the Gujarat city as its 32nd destination in the domestic network.

The airline said the new routes are aimed at improving regional air connectivity, particularly to industrial and port-linked centres.

Mundra is one of Gujarat’s key logistics and trade hubs.
Under the new schedule, Star Air will operate direct flights connecting Mundra with Mumbai, Hindon (Delhi NCR), Goa, Surat, Belagavi, Bengaluru, Kolhapur and Nanded, with frequencies varying by route across the week.

The Mumbai–Mundra sector will see multiple weekly services, while connections with Hindon will operate three times a week. Flights linking Mundra with Goa and Surat will also run several times a week, covering both weekday and weekend travel demand.

Alongside direct connectivity, the airline will offer one-stop services via Mundra linking cities such as Bengaluru, Kolhapur and Belagavi through intermediate hubs including Goa and Mumbai. These connections are intended to integrate smaller cities into broader domestic routes.

Simran Singh Tiwana, CEO of Star Air, said the addition of new destinations reflects efforts to expand regional connectivity and improve access between smaller cities and major urban centres.

With this expansion, Mundra becomes part of Star Air’s growing domestic network focused on regional routes across western and southern India.
