Located in the Garhwal Himalayan range, this temple draws thousands of devotees from across the country.
To ensure a safe and smooth pilgrimage, the district administration in Rudraprayag has introduced a high-tech monitoring system along the Kedarnath Yatra route. A dedicated 24×7 control room has been set up to keep a close watch on the entire yatra route, stretching from Gaurikund to the Kedarnath Temple.
The officials have enhanced surveillance measures further by installing 360-degree cameras at key points, along the trekking route.
In addition to that, around 90 additional cameras across the highway, trekking route, and temple campus. These systems will enable real-time monitoring and quick response to any situation.
Authorities have also integrated a public announcement system to broadcast important updates, advisories, and directions to pilgrims as and when required during the yatra. Officials believe these measures will significantly improve safety, crowd management, and ensure a smoother pilgrimage experience.
