The airline is continuing to operate flights to and from Jeddah and cities like Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kochi and Kozhikode.
“Following our ongoing safety assessment and a review of the prevailing situation in the Middle East, Akasa Air continues to progressively restore select services in the region,” it said in a travel advisory on X.

It said that the operation for these flights is “based on the prevailing situation and our ongoing safety assessment and may be subject to change.”
Akasa Air said that flights to and from Abu Dhabi, Doha and Kuwait continue to remain suspended until March 21.
The airline said it has extended the cancellation or rescheduling charges waiver policy for all the passengers booked to or from these cities until March 31.
“Passengers may opt for a full refund, credited to the original source of payment within 7 days, or reschedule their travel at no additional cost,” it added.
Those who have booked their tickets via a travel partner have been asked to check directly with them for further assistance.
Akasa Air said it is monitoring the ongoing situation in West Asia with respect to these destinations on a real-time basis. If there are any changes to the flight status for such destinations, then they will be notified accordingly.
“The safety and well-being of our passengers and crew remain our highest priority. We thank you for your patience and appreciate your understanding during this time,” it noted.

Air India and Air India Express together are operating a total of 50 scheduled and non-scheduled flights to and from the West Asia region on Wednesday, March 18.
Both carriers went ahead with their scheduled services to and from Jeddah and Muscat on March 18. This included a total of 14 flights between India and Jeddah.

IndiGo, meanwhile, said on Tuesday evening that flights to and from Dubai remain affected. These will be resumed as per the prevailing safety conditions and necessary regulatory approvals, it added.
