The announcement was made during the ongoing session of the Haryana Legislative Assembly, as per News18.
64 km in total: What are the routes?
The proposed corridor will span 64 kilometres in total, of which 52 kilometres will fall within Haryana.
In Gurugram, the line will originate at IFFCO Chowk and run through Sector 29, Millennium City, Sector 52, Sector 57 and Sector 61 before reaching Gwal Pahari.
At this point, it will connect with the Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line, improving interchange options for commuters.
In Faridabad, the corridor will pass through Sainik Colony and link areas such as New Faridabad, NIT, Bata Chowk and Sectors 12-15.

The route will integrate with the Delhi Metro’s Violet Line, enabling smoother connectivity with the national capital.
Regional connectivity boost
The Namo Bharat RRTS corridor is aimed at strengthening regional transport links across the National Capital Region (NCR).
By connecting major residential and commercial hubs in Gurugram, Faridabad and Noida-Greater Noida, the project is expected to facilitate faster inter-city travel while integrating with existing metro and rapid transit systems.
Implementation and timeline
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) will prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) in the coming months, Chief Minister Saini said.
Construction work is expected to commence in December 2026, with completion projected within four-and-a-half years, as per News18.
“The necessary instructions have been issued to the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), which is responsible for implementing the project,” Saini was quoted as saying by News18.
This corridor will not only integrate with the Delhi Metro, Rapid Metro, and Gurugram Metro networks, but will also “pave the way for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India,” he added.
