Samsung is going to grab the headlines but Xiaomi and a few more brands want to have a say with their launches.

Samsung Galaxy S26 launch this month could be a cracker
We are coming to the end of February 2026, the second month of the year, and we’re nowhere close to being done for the big phone launches in the market. In fact, some of the highly anticipated products will be officially announced over the next few days, including Samsung’s flagship models for the year.
We’ve already seen the new Pixel 10a launched by Google, the V70 series from Vivo and a few more. Now, brands are setting up the base ahead of next month’s Mobile World Congress 2026 event in Barcelona.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Series
Samsung confirmed the big Galaxy Unpacked 2026 launch event date for February 25 without exactly telling us what will be announced. The Galaxy S26 series is expected to be the highlight of the new Unpacked event, and we could see a few more additions from the company as it looks to compete with the iPhones and the Pixels in the market.
Talking about the main aspects of the Galaxy S26 series, the company is unlikely to enter the big battery battle (yet) but it sure could make some changes on the charging front. This has been mentioned in the case of the Galaxy S26 Ultra model while the base and regular versions are not seeing any upgrade.
Xiaomi 17 Series
Xiaomi introduced the new 17 series flagship phones in China back in September last year, and the wait has been unusually long to see these devices announced in India and other regions. Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra are once again in the news and this week on February 28 we’ll be getting a closer look at the new devices at its global launch.
The company is hosting the event globally with the Indian launch also tipped but we might have to wait till March to actually see the new flagship phones. The Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are not leaving China, which means the 17 Ultra hogs all the limelight for its Leica-tuned camera prowess among other premium features .
iQOO 15R
iQOO is bringing its new premium device with focus on heavy users and gamers, but it seems the new model will also have other highlights, including its appealing design and powerful camera hardware on board. iQOO 15R will feature a 144Hz refresh rate screen, most likely with an AMOLED panel that offers adaptive screen switch.
For imaging, the iQOO 15R could bring a 50MP main camera along with an inferior 8MP ultrawide lens. But as for the backup on the device, we expect to see a 7,600mAh battery with 100W wired charging supported. It is going to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset along with the Q2 chip. The phone is expected to be priced under Rs 50,000 in the market.
