iPhone Air has started a new trend and it is not shocking to see Android brands already bringing their own versions to the market. Honor is one of the first to adopt the Air moniker but its new Magic 8 series device comes with Pro-grade hardware and other features. The iPhone Air rival in the Android sphere is likely to push the specs war and even pack a bigger battery so that you don’t have those usual complaints.

The Honor Magic 8 Pro Air is unlikely to move out of China and definitely not launch in India so we can simply read through the features of the phone and marvel at what could have been.

Apple’s New iPhone Air Rival

The Pro moniker clubbed with Air means Honor is giving the best of both the worlds. You have a triple camera setup that even has a telephoto lens. It features a compact 6.31-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and a fingerprint scanner built into the display.

The Air part of the device gives you a 6.1mm thin frame and weighs 155 grams. Unlike Apple, Honor has managed to pack in stereo speakers along with a physical SIM slot that is not available with the iPhone Air. The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. It comes with Android 16-based MagicOS 10 version out of the box.

Honor also offers IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance. But even with all these differences and a sleek body, you have a 5,500mAh battery which supports 80W wired 50W wireless fast charging speeds.

Honor has outdone Apple by making its Air available in orange colour which is not the case with the iPhone version.

Vivo has also been inspired by the Air from Cupertino and its new X300 FE model leaves very little to imagination, at least from the back. It is not expected to be as light as the Air but even then it is obvious that more brands will lap up the new design style.
