ChatGPT Plus is the premium version from OpenAI that offers AI agents, Sora AI video model access and more.
ChatGPT Plus is available for a special deal
OpenAI seems to be in a hurry to get new users signed up on ChatGPT and after rolling out a 12-month ChatGPT Go offer, the company is giving everyone a chance to try out the ChatGPT Plus version free of cost for one month.
Compared to the Go plan, ChatGPT Plus unlocks a wider range of features for the users, including the agent mode and access to the Sora AI video model. The Plus plan was the first to be introduced in the market before OpenAI added the Go, Pro and Business versions that primarily catered to the enterprises.
ChatGPT Plus For Free: What You Can Expect
The special ChatGPT Plus free offer has been spotted in the US by Bleeping Computer in this report, while some users in India are also seeing the one-month deal from OpenAI. At the time of writing we couldn’t see the free ChatGPT Plus version for our account but it is likely to roll out gradually for more people.
The new offer means you can try out the premium ChatGPT Plus version, which costs Rs 1,999 per month, free for one month after which the regular subscription plan kicks in. Compared to ChatGPT Go, the Plus version has more features baked into the AI model and unlocks the full experience, as the company claims. Here are the list of the features that ChatGPT Plus subscribers get:
- Solve complex problems
- Have long chats over multiple sessions
- Create more images, faster
- Remember goals and past conversations
- Plan travel and tasks with agent mode
- Organize projects and customize GPTs
- Produce and share videos on Sora
- Write code and build apps with Codex
OpenAI is giving everyone the chance to sign up for the Plus offer. You can already have the ChatGPT Go version and upgrade to the higher tier. However, if you have got the ChatGPT Go free offer for 12 months in India this Plus offering might not make a lot of sense.
The company has also started the process of bringing ads on ChatGPT and the tests are gradually picking up across users. ChatGPT has a lot of personal data and OpenAI assures none of that will be used to train its AI models or to offer a personalised experience but we find that hard to believe so hoping to be proven wrong.
