The iPhone Fold launch in 2026 seems inevitable and the range of leaks we have come across recently suggest Apple is cooking up a delicious meal for the market. The company has stayed far away from the foldable race but just like its AI impetus, the entry in this segment is hard to avoid anymore. Which is why there are some big bets being placed on the iPhone Fold model that could be part of a premium lineup later this September.
And now, the iPhone Fold specifications have been supposedly revealed by an analyst who has insiders working on the product’s future roadmap and is sharing the exciting details with everyone.
iPhone Fold Specs Revealed
The first thing you might want to know is that Apple could follow Google’s path for its own foldable. This means the iPhone Fold could feature a book-style design and carry a 7.8-inch main inner and a 5.3-inch cover display, as pointed out by Jeff Pu, analyst.
The edges are also rounded on the iPhone version which is probably not ideal but something that tipsters suggest Apple could adopt. In addition to the crease, the Apple foldable could have a flatter body but 4.5mm thick when it is unfolded. The design of the iPhone Fold is likely to be a mix of titanium and aluminium like the iPhone Air model.
Besides this, the investor note from Pu mentions that Apple will power its foldable with the A20 Pro chipset that will be paired with the N2 neural engine and 12GB RAM all across the 18 series models for AI processing and Siri. The company is also tipped to be using the Apple C2 modem for faster data speeds and connectivity.
On the imaging front, you could see a dual 48MP sensor setup and 18MP front sensor in folded and unfolded state. The other big change, he claims, could be the comeback of the Touch ID on an iPhone device since the iPhone X model. This is likely to be placed on the button power like other foldable devices.
Apple iPhones have been costlier than before and we expect the first foldable to be a premium product from the brand. We should be seeing the foldable unveiled along with the 18 series next year but another report suggests the company could delay its sale to early 2027 which means further wait to see the exciting product on shelves.
