Answer now is coming to Gemini users for free
Google’s new Gemini experiments continue and after bringing personal intelligence for advanced AI tasks, the company is offering a more functional feature for millions. Gemini app now offers a new ‘Answer Now’ mode which as the name suggests is there to help users with quicker responses for their queries.
The new option is built into the mobile app and available for both free and paid versions of Gemini on Android and iOS devices.
Gemini ‘Answer Now’ Mode: How It Works On Mobile
Google says the new answer option will work in the Gemini mobile app when the users select the Thinking or Pro versions of the AI model. Usually the advanced models take a longer time to give you the accurate response but the new feature fast-forwards the whole process and gives you the answer right away.
The company claims the new option is not using a different model to fast-track the data processing but it does mean the response might be varied from what you would have got with the ‘Fast’ mode from Gemini.
It does seem like an interesting addition to the Gemini AI model family and gives users the option to skip the regular AI process if they want something delivered faster. We do hope the answers are factually accurate and do not compromise on that just for the sake of the speed.
Google is making Gemini as personal as possible which is why the latest update focuses on intelligence at a deeper level for the users.
The new Personal intelligence feature in Gemini allows you to link all the Google accounts and get the AI model to deliver responses and overall experience a lot more personally. This becomes even more powerful when you can link apps like Gmail, Photos, YouTube and even your personal Search history and get Gemini AI to do the heavy work.
You can allow Gemini to browse through your hotel bookings and flight tickets to plan an itinerary based on the details scanned through these content. That’s not all, you can even link it with other Google services and get Gemini to craft a fitness schedule that is based on your regular activities.
