Realme could become the first brand in the Indian market to launch a smartphone packing a massive 10,000mAh battery. The new product is yet in the teaser phase but some reports say this could be a new Realme P-series device that looks to change the equation of a phone battery with power bank-like level support.

The Realme phone has been spotted in various certification websites which means the official release of the device could be getting closer.

The Battery Battle Begins

Over the last few months we have seen brands in China go beyond the limit and launch phones that carry 10,000+mAh batteries without making them a brick. Honor is one of those names and Realme is now trying to replicate that model in another important market. The Realme device spotted in the testing phase is likely to be a high mid-ranger, in the Rs 30,000 category as the phone prices are primed to go up this year.

The company has launched its phones with 7,000mAh battery so far but jumping straight to a 10,000mAh unit tells you where the market is headed this year. This is all possible because of the silicon carbon grade technology adopted that increases the density of the battery and gives you room to pack more mAh. We should be hearing more about the device in the next few weeks and the Realme launch could happen sometime in February.

The Realme phone is tipped to carry a triple camera system, featuring a curved panel and a plastic body that will shape the design of the device. Realme has showcased its concept device with an even bigger 15,000mAh battery, so the new model will only be looking to build towards that.

The brand has already introduced the 16 Pro series in the country which has already got a significant price bump compared to the last version. Phone makers are going to find it hard to adjust the price revision and the buyers will be paying for it.
