AI-generated content has flooded the internet and YouTube Music users are the latest to face the wrath of the songs that have AI written all over them. Other platforms like Instagram and even Google to some extent are riddled with content that no human has generated and this is becoming a serious problem which these companies need to fix before it takes over the quality of the content that people see on the internet.
Many YouTube Music users even have pointed out that disliking the content doesn’t help and they continue to see the songs generated by AI tools in their feed with no way to block them out.
AI Songs Nightmare: Why This Is A Big Issue
YouTube Music is used by millions and these AI slops, as many have called it, are not sure about sticking around and could be forced to jump ship to Spotify or even Apple Music. Content hygiene has been a concern on YouTube and many accounts have been banned for posting manipulated AI content.
This is the first time we are seeing instances of AI songs becoming an issue on YouTube Music and fair to say that the company has another big problem on its hands. Video content generated by AI tools have labels prescribed based on the watermarks designed for them but songs don’t have the luxury and that makes it easy to tell if a song is an original or an AI slop.
Having said that, many of the users say these songs lack depth and sound very generic which seems to be an easy giveaway for the AI songs being filtered through YouTube feeds in recent weeks. We do hope YouTube is seeing all these posts across different forums and starts working on the AI songs issue and make it easier for users to not only identify them but also report and get them removed altogether.
Some eagle eye users have suggested that most of the AI songs do not have an album image for the artist, the number of listening range is low and you will never find these songs in the search history or even recommended by the platform.
