Xiaomi 17 Ultra is now official, at least in China, and there has been a lot of interest around the premium phone, mostly around its Leica camera system. Xiaomi has become a strong force with the camera giant in its wing, and the 17 Ultra is looking to continue that trend with more powerful optics on board.

But when you talk about cameras, Vivo is another name that is hard to discount these days, thanks to its own Zeiss Optics revolution for the flagship devices. The X300 Pro from Vivo may not be an Ultra but it is close to that circuit which makes it easy to talk about the 17 Ultra from Xiaomi in comparison with the X300 Pro version.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra launch price starts at CNY 6,999 (Rs 89,400 approx) for the base 12GB + 512GB model, going up to CNY 8,499 (Rs 1.06 lakh approx) if you want the highest 16GB + 1TB variant. Vivo X300 Pro is available in a single 16GB + 512GB model in India where it costs Rs 1,09,999 for buyers.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra is the latest premium phone to opt for a flat panel but most of the other elements look fairly similar to the 15 Ultra. You still have the circular camera system housing three sensors, and Xiaomi branding in a subtle way along with the Leica logo. The phone weighs 224 grams and comes at 8.29mm thickness. It gets IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings this time around. 

Vivo X300 Pro also has the flat trait with a circular module for the cameras. The brand is also giving you a hefty battery but not making it heavy but the same IP68 and IP69 ratings for durability. 

The 17 Ultra gets a large 6.9-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and Dragon crystal glass layer for protection. Vivo is giving you a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, and armor glass for the screen. 

Xiaomi 17 Ultra Vs Vivo X300 Pro Performance And OS 

Xiaomi is powering the 17 Ultra with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The phone runs the HyperOS 3 version which is based on Android 16 and we expect Xiaomi to offer many upgrades. 

Vivo opts for the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. You also get the OriginOS 6 version out of China for the first time from the company. The brand is promising 5 years of OS upgrades.

This is the latest edition of the Leica vs Zeiss battle. Xiaomi 17 Ultra features a triple camera unit that has a 50MP main shooter with 1-inch sensor and OIS. You also have a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with continuous zoom. The front has a 50MP shooter as well.

Vivo X300 Pro also has a three camera system which carries a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with OIS and a 50MP ultrawide shooter. 

Xiaomi 17 Ultra Vs Vivo X300 Pro Battery And Charging 

Xiaomi brings a bigger 6,800mAh battery with the 17 Ultra that is offered 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging speeds. Vivo X300 Pro has a 6510mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 40W wireless charging speeds. Both the flagship devices are loaded in the box and you get the case, adapter the USB C cable with the products.
