Shark Tank India Season 5 is adding a fresh twist with a Campus Special and entrepreneur Pratham Mittal is joining the show as a guest shark. The founder of Tetr College of Business and Master’s Union has been introduced through a new promo where he invites students to pitch their business ideas. His entry has caught attention because of the approach he plans to bring to the show. Mittal feels young founders should be guided, not criticised on national television.

He believes reality shows have become too harsh, especially when students are involved. Instead of criticism, he wants to focus on support, learning and honest feedback. According to him, making mistakes is part of building a business and young people should not be shamed for trying. Mittal also pointed out that many founders leave stable jobs to chase ideas and that courage deserves respect.

Pratham Mittal To Focus On Supporting Young Minds

Speaking with Hindustan Times, Pratham Mittal said, “You can’t be overtly critical of someone so young. Even if they make mistakes, they need to be told it’s okay instead of putting them down. I feel that reality TV is very ruthless. We need to bring more heart into it, and I hope I can be that positive voice. Right now, the narrative towards entrepreneurship is a little critical, and that makes me uncomfortable. I mean, this person has left their job to try something new. They need feedback, not criticism.”

“I’m a very soft person. If you meet me, you’ll know it’s very difficult for me to say anything that’ll hurt somebody. I think I’ll be fine. I might be boring, but that’s a separate issue. Whatever you see on screen is reality; it’s quite authentic,” the entrepreneur added.

Friendly Bond With Fellow Sharks

Pratham Mittal shared that he got along well with the other sharks on the show, especially Aman Gupta. He said Aman made him feel relaxed during the shoot, which helped a lot since it was a new experience. He also mentioned that he already knew some of the other investors, as a few of them had visited his college or stayed in touch with him earlier. According to him, the overall experience on set was friendly and everyone was kind to each other. He also explained that even the sharks do not know in advance which startups will come to pitch, so every day brings a new surprise.

Shark Tank India Season 5 will begin streaming from January 5, 2026.
