“Flight operations are steadily recovering, but disruptions may persist for certain departures and arrivals,” the airport authorities said this morning.
While IndiGo
offered ‘thoughtful adjustments on the ground’, Air India told its passengers that it allow affected passengers to reschedule their flights without cost, or to get a refund without penalty.
“We have activated our Fog Care programme, whereby passengers booked on affected or likely-to-be-affected flights are being notified in advance,” an Air India notification added.

The air quality index (AQI) in Delhi was a hazardous 378 at about 8 am on December 16, according to this live dashboard.
A day earlier, 228 flights were cancelled at the Delhi airport.
Meanwhile, on the Delhi-Agra expressway, seven buses and three cars collided due to low visibility, leading to a fire and the death of four people, news agency ANI reported. Rescue operations are currently underway.
