Vietnam’s Jan-Nov 2025 IIP for garments up 13.5% YoY



Vietnam’s index of industrial production (IIP) grew by 9.3 per cent year on year (YoY) in the first 11 months this year, official statistics show.

The manufacturing and processing sector continued to be the main growth driver, expanding by 10.6 per cent YoY and contributing 8.5 percentage points to overall IIP growth.

Electricity production and distribution increased by 6.5 per cent YoY, adding 0.6 percentage point to the national index.

Employment in industrial enterprises rose by 3.7 per cent YoY as of November 1.

Of the 34 localities that recorded higher IIP, many saw significant YoY gains fuelled by robust processing and manufacturing activities. Quang Ninh led with a 33.8 per cent surge, followed by Phu Tho (28.8 per cent) and Ninh Binh (23.4 per cent).

Employment in industrial enterprises rose by 1 per cent month on month and 3.7 per cent YoY as of November 1.
