India T20I Squad against South Africa Live Updates: The Indian men’s cricket team will face South Africa in a five-match T20I series. The five 20-over matches are scheduled to take place in Cuttack, Mullanpur, Dharamsala, Lucknow and Ahmedabad on December 9, 11, 14, 17 and 19, respectively. The BCCI senior men’s selection committee, which is headed by Ajit Agarkar, is all set to announce India’s squad for the home series in the coming days. It will be interesting to see if Shubman Gill, who has been out of action since November 15 due to a neck injury, is picked for the series against the Proteas. If Gill is not considered as a precautionary measure, then the Indian selectors are likely to include Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who missed the Asia Cup 2025 final and five-match series in Australia, is also set to make a comeback in India’s T20I team after proving his fitness on Tuesday in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match against Punjab in Hyderabad.
