Ace India batter Virat Kohli looked to go big while Rohit Sharma watched him from close quarters as the duo prepared for the second ODI against South Africa in Raipur, days after taking a 1-0 lead in the series, thanks to a brilliant hundred from the former.
During India’s net session on Tuesday, fresh off a sensational hundred in the opening ODI at Ranchi, Kohli looked in sublime form, smashing two clean sixes with the same authority that defined his match-winning knock.
Rohit was in the nets as well, watching Kohli from the sidelines, much to the delight of fans and onlookers. Watch the video here:

Intrigue has been on a steady rise regarding the future of Kohli and Rohit, bringing the road to the ICC ODI World Cup 2027 into the mix.

Despite the team’s victories in the last two ODIs against Australia and South Africa, Rohit and Kohli showed no signs of easing up in Raipur on Tuesday.
Kohli looked in prime touch as he went hard against the throw-down specialists Raghu (right-arm) and Nuwan Seneviratne (left-arm), who cranked it up, according to a report in PTI.
It was a captivating phase under lights, with Kohli middling most of the balls, but on occasions, he was beaten by the raw pace generated by Raghu, as per the report.
Head coach Gautam Gambhir was a close observer of the proceedings while stationing himself between the two nets on either end of the centre.
After finishing, Kohli rested both bats on his shoulders and walked past Gambhir without exchanging a word, a moment that, given recent developments in Indian cricket, was striking from every angle.
