iPhone 17e launch is expected next year and it seems Apple could offer some useful upgrades for its most affordable iPhone 17 version
iPhone 17e looks to be the next mid-range variant from Apple and it is expected to launch as the successor to iPhone 16e early next year. Apple is expected to use the new A19 chipset to power the 17e model which should look like the first version.
iPhone 17 series launch isn’t done yet and Apple could bring the latest iPhone e model to the market early next year. This will be a shift from the 2025 iPhone 16e launch timeline but the bigger surprise awaiting people is the news about some camera upgrades for the new model.
The company is yet to share details about the next iPhone e device but an analyst has come out and dished out some new information that will have people eager to see the new iPhone 17e model. Jeff Pu, analyst, claims the iPhone 17e launch early 2026 will see a different take on the camera, at least on the front.
Leveling Up The Selfies
The affordable iPhone 17 model is tipped for a change with the selfie camera. Pu says the new device will have the same 18MP front shooter as the premium iPhone 17 models. This is a big upgrade because the new front sensor is squarish which allows you to take both portrait and landscape selfies without tilting the phone. The other changes with the iPhone 17e could be the use of the A19 chipset like the regular iPhone 17 model.
The analyst hints at a Q1 2026 launch timeframe for the iPhone 17e which suggests it could be around February or March when Apple brings the new device to the market early next year. In addition to the iPhone 17e we could also see the rumoured budget MacBook model unveiled around the same time and the early signs hint at a strong product that could have iPhone-like impact in markets like India.
Next year is going to be pivotal to Apple’s AI ambitions in many ways. The Siri AI launch will determine the trajectory for its products, especially in the smart home segment.
Then you also have the iPhone Fold launching around September which is tipped to be costlier than the iPhone 17 Pro Max 1TB model, suggesting a staggered availability for the product. It still might not reach the Vision Pro levels but the use of premium materials and a foldable display could have Apple pulling all the stops to deliver a strong product.
