Railways to run special weekend trains between Kalaburagi and Bengaluru: Check details

The Central Railway’s Solapur Division will operate six trips of weekend special trains between Kalaburagi and Bengaluru Cantonment from late November to late December. The introduction of these special services aims to provide passengers with more convenient and comfortable travel options, as well as ease weekend travel demand between the two cities.

In a release, the division said that these special trains, numbered 06207 and 06208, will operate on Saturdays and Sundays between November 23 and December 28.

According to the Central Railway’s Solapur Division, the Bengaluru Cantonment – Kalaburagi Special (Train No. 06207) will depart Bengaluru Cantonment at 7:20 pm on Saturdays from November 22 to December 27, reaching Kalaburagi at 7:30 am the next day.
Meanwhile, the Kalaburagi – Bengaluru Cantonment Special (Train No. 06208) will leave Kalaburagi at 9:35 am on Sundays and arrive at Bengaluru Cantonment at 8:30 pm the same day (from November 23 to December 28). As per the release, each train will complete six trips during this period.

The trains will make stops at several key stations, including Yelahanka, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Guntakal, Adoni, Manthralayam Road, Raichur, Krishna, Yadgir, and Shahabad.

Each train will have 22 coaches, including 20 Sleeper Class and 2 Second Class Luggage-cum-Divyangjan coaches.

Reservations for these special trains, which will have special charges, can be made at computerised reservation centres or online through the official IRCTC website at www.irctc.co.in. Unreserved tickets are available at station counters or via the UTS mobile app. Passengers are encouraged to travel with valid tickets.

Earlier, Indian Railways announced the operation of two special trains from Patna Sahib and Old Delhi to Sri Anandpur Sahib from November 22 to 25, for the commemoration of the Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Sikh Guru.
