The Oberoi Group formally opened The Oberoi Rajgarh Palace in Khajuraho, with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurating the restored 350-year-old property.
The CM said the palace reflects the rich heritage of Madhya Pradesh while providing world-class hospitality, calling it a significant addition to the state’s tourism landscape.
Arjun Oberoi, Executive Chairman of The Oberoi Group, said the inauguration highlights the palace’s cultural and architectural importance, adding that the property aims to offer guests an immersive experience rooted in the region’s heritage.
CEO Vikram Oberoi noted that the project reiterates the group’s commitment to historical restoration and is expected to draw new travellers to Khajuraho, boosting tourism and employment.

He said the palace’s proximity to the UNESCO-listed Khajuraho temples and the Panna Tiger Reserve as key attractions for visitors.
Originally built more than three centuries ago, The Oberoi Rajgarh Palace has been restored to its original grandeur and now blends traditional royal architecture with modern luxury.
The property features refined rooms and suites with private terraces, curated dining options, and landscaped spaces overlooking the Managad Hills. The hotel aims to offer a seamless mix of history, culture, and contemporary hospitality, positioning it as a new landmark in Madhya Pradesh’s tourism circuit.
