Happy Birthday Badshah: Aditya Prateek Singh, popularly known as Badshah, celebrates his 40th birthday on November 19, 2025. The multi-talented and versatile rapper is hands down one of the most popular musical icons of our country. With chart-topping hits, magnetic stage presence, and a unique sense of style, Badshah continues to dominate the entertainment industry.
Badshah’s Musical Journey
Badshah began his musical journey with the name Cool Equal but changed it to Badshah on Yo Yo Honey Singh’s advice. Towards the beginning of his career, Badshah worked with Honey Singh on his album International Villager but later split due to credit-related issues.
He broke into the mainstream with his single Saturday Saturday, which was later featured in the 2014 film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Up next, his track Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai became a blockbuster hit, gaining billions of views on YouTube. Following this, he released his debut album, O.N.E, in 2018.
He then went on to release an alternative hip-hop album titled The Power Of Dreams of a Kid. The extended play consisted of eight tracks and included features from artists including Lisa Mishra, Fotty Seven, Sikander Kahlon, Bali, and Andy Grewal.
Following this, he has released multiple albums and EPs, including Retropanda – Part 1, 3:00 AM Sessions, Ek Tha Raja, and FITOOR.
Badshah’s Hit Songs
It has been more than a decade since Badshah’s mainstream debut, and throughout the years he has sung and produced multiple chart-topping songs.
- Kar Gayi Chull (2016): Badshah collaborated with Amaal Mallik, Sukriti Kakkar, Neha Kakkar, and Fazilpuria on this hit track for the film Kapoor & Sons. Its catchy beat and groovy music quickly led the song to become the party anthem of the year.
- Kala Chashma (2016): Badshah’s Kala Chashma from the movie Baar Baar Dekho was a recreated version of Amar Arshi’s 1990s Punjabi hit. The song attained massive popularity after its release.
- Proper Patola (2018): The original Proper Patola song was released in 2013 in collaboration with Diljit Dosanjh. Badshah later recreated the song for Namaste England.
- Paagal (2019): Paagal secured 74.8 million views on YouTube within 24 hours. Later, Badshah’s label, then Sony Music, confirmed that they used Google AdSense to promote the song; otherwise, it would have set the record for the most-viewed video in 24 hours on YouTube.
